Congratulation to Mr. Abdur Rahim

Mr. Abdur Rahim 44 years and he is a full blind person. His residence is in under Dhaka North City Corporation, Bangladesh. He was associated with BPKS from 2005 through survey of BPKS. BPKS when find him at that time, he living in society here and there as a vagabond and his parents were not alive but he has brother and sister. He had no dreams or thoughts to be self-reliant or starting a family? Since he is a visually impaired person, he thought who would marry him as he is blind person? How will he run his family etc. Although as a child he is also an owner of his fathers and mothers’ property but he doesn’t understand how he own this property and no one guide him. BPKS was started project in the area, he involved in grassroots actions and 15 different trainings including self-confidence and leadership building training of BPKS, he received. BPKS Provide him some primary supports including assistive device and capital funds. His activities and progress regularly follow-up by BPKS. His associations with BPKS continue and updated training he also received from BPKS. Mr. Rahim is now married person and he is father of 2 sons. He achieved his share of his father property. He has now his own house and managing his goat farm. He lives a happy life with his wife and two sons and goat farm. Mr. Rahim is great example and is an important person in his family, society and state. He is a tax payer, voter and regular contributor in building of the status of the country. Mr. Rahim’s story serves as a source of inspiration, breaking stereotypes and discriminatory thought about the capabilities of visually impaired persons.
