BPKS Launches Nationwide National Lottery 2026

Bangladesh Protibondhi Kallyan Somity (BPKS), one of the country’s leading organizations dedicated to the rights and empowerment of persons with disabilities, officially inaugurated the sales campaign of the BPKS National Lottery–2026 at a ceremony held in Dhaka today.
Established in 1985, BPKS has been working tirelessly to promote the rights, development, and social inclusion of persons with disabilities across Bangladesh. The organization has gained both national and international recognition for its outstanding contributions in the disability sector. In acknowledgment of its leadership and commitment, the United Nations honored BPKS leadership with the prestigious title of “Disability Rights Champion.”
BPKS development and humanitarian programs reach to 43 districts across the country, benefiting thousands of persons with disabilities and their families.
To strengthen local fundraising efforts and support its ongoing development initiatives, the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has approved the nationwide BPKS National Lottery–2026. Each lottery ticket is priced at BDT 20, offering participants the opportunity to win prizes of up to BDT 3 million.
According to organizers, lottery ticket sales will officially commence on 30 May 2026 and continue until 13 July 2026, while the lottery draw is scheduled to be held on 19 July 2026.
The inauguration ceremony was formally opened by Bir Muktijoddha Md. Abdus Salam, Administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation, who attended as the Chief Guest. Special Guests included Dr. Mohammad Abu Yousuf, Secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Government of Bangladesh; former Secretary Dr. Abi Abdullah; and renowned journalist and Editor of Green Watch, Mostafa Kamal Majumder.
The keynote address was delivered by Md. Abdus Sattar Dulal, Founder and Executive Director of BPKS, who is widely recognized both nationally and internationally as a leading advocate for the rights, development, and empowerment of persons with disabilities.
The welcome speech was presented by Haji Md. Alam Kabir, Project Director of the Lottery Project, while the event was chaired by Md. Anwar Hossain Hazari, Chairman of BPKS.


Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of community participation in supporting disability-inclusive development and encouraged the public to contribute to the cause through the purchase of lottery tickets. They expressed optimism that the initiative would generate significant support for programs aimed at improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities throughout Bangladesh.
